Katie Kozlowski

The story of Katie Kozlowski is an entertaining one (I hope). Born and raised in Wilton the CT, Katie began her performing career at a young age. Her first encounter with “stardom” occurred when she was 5 years old when Kristy Hart pulled on her tutu while performing their ballet extravaganza to Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Katie slugged Kristy pretty hard, heard the laughter and a star was born! She continued to expand her childhood career performing her personal renditions of Dirty Dancing, Beaches and The Lost Boys in 3rd grade with her “production team” Lindsay Doebler and Tracey Estes. She didn’t know what it meant when Penny got “knocked up” but she made sure it was included in her act and Mr. Karpinski the principal did not approve! She also put together several pieces at home with her sister Carrie including their own versions of the Pas De Deux from the Nutcracker (Carrie was always much more graceful than Katie) and the commercial for their own product Swishawish. Soon after she began work with companies such as Wilton Children’s Theatre and Wilton High School developing her ham-like technique and performance skills, and even dabbled in the professional world working at Connecticut’s Broadway Theatre and Bridgeport Downtown Cabaret.

When she graduated from high school Katie pursued a BFA in Musical Theatre at ITHACA College where she really began to hone her craft and develop true performing skills. In 2002 Katie graduated Summa Cum Laude, and moved to the big, bad city and began her professional performing career. Since then Katie has been lucky enough to perform at such theaters as Gateway Playhouse, Utah Shakesperean Festival, Shakespeare on the Sound and White Plains Performing Arts Center. In New York she has taken part in the NY Fringe Festival, NYMF and has been a part of several readings, workshops, concerts and cabarets. She continues to develop her skills through classes and has studied extensively with Richard Sabellico and VP Boyle.

In 2006 Katie decided to expand her career and took on the voice over world studying with Peter Rofe and produced her first voice over reel. She currently works on the radio show The Adventures of Charlie Black as the title character which is due to transform to an animated cartoon in the near future. She has also set up her own in home voice over studio and records several projects independently. (If interested in having me record a project for you please contact me! )

Katie currently resides in New York City with her two furry children Rocky and Natasha (they’re cats!!) and continues to pursue and develop her many careers as a voice over artist, actress, singer and comedian and has even began to write! Look for many new and exciting things from her in the near future!
